Gigapixel Skyline

I took the opportunity recently to experiment with some gigapixel panoramas. The image here shows the Chicago skyline immediacy after sunset, with the renowned Willis Tower, John Hancock Center and Smurf-it Stone buildings among other immediately recognizable landmarks of Chicago’s shoreline.
The image itself consists of a series of HDR panels stitched together, each individual panel was created out of 5 brackets spanning a range of −2ev to +2ev. Processed with photomatix and finished in photoshop.
