I have post previously a somewhat banal shot of the Arc de Triomph from one of my visits to Paris, so this time I decided to try something more unorthodox. The EDF tower, as well as many other buildings in the business district of La Défense, can provide a lot of photographic opportunities for architectural shooters.
The most striking characteristic of this skyscraper consists in the extrusion of a conic section of the tower on its northern edge. The resulting conic hole extends from the ground floor to the 26th floor. As a consequence, the length of the tower is slightly shorter at its base than at its top.
