On Vantage Points

How to bring something unique to a subject which has been photographed countless times before? Times Square — the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway Theatre District in New York — is certainly a good example of such challenge, and finding a idiosyncratic vantage point helps in overcoming the challenge set before. The shot above was taken at a six stories high, at the crossing of a road leading into the iconic building of Times Square. In terms of processing, it consists of a seven brackets HDR, tonemmaped with photomatix and finished in photoshop.
