Another image that I took in a recent visit to the historic bathhouse. This one came out particularly well in my opinion, so I decided to share it. The only light source is a skylight high above which creates a nice diffuse light and an interesting interaction with the shadows in the darkest corners.
This room’s architecture, like the rest of the building, had some strong influences from an eclectic mixture of neo-impressionism with brutalism. Its spa like recessed basin in the middle, was used as a sauna and for hydromassage therapy. The shot consist of a vertorama of two shifts, each composed of nine brackets. As usual, the HDR was obtained with photomatix and finished up in photoshop.
