The grand staircase inside this house was very impressive, and quite a challenge to fit inside a single frame. Therefore I took three sets of brackets, two of them shifted in the corresponding lateral direction in order to be able to cover the space. The house itself was built in the beginning of the 19th century and belong to a german entrepreneur. It contains an astonishing amount of details, in particular in the wood carving and glass used to decorate the windows. Miraculously spared from the bombings of the 2nd World War, it hasn’t been occupied since a long time and its future remains uncertain.
